I know that I haven't posted new news in a long time. Sorry about that, I've been delayed with computer issues mostly involving the painting of my room. Nothing serious, just furniture being rearranged. More to come soon, I promise!

More information on Iron Man. I have finished much more on the torso and the arms. Expected to be finished a little later than expected. I thought that this weekend would be free but things came up. Oh well, expect this middle of next week now.

Also, I decided that I will be creating a full blown comic book inspired theme for the background. I have yet to decide what it should look like entirely but I was thinking either buildings or an explosion. If you have an idea, comment it and I will be sure to take a look.

Update

The Iron Man piece has become the center of my attention. The details are falling into place quickly and should be done completely by the end of the week. At least I hope so. It really helps because Iron Man is a comic book character and my shading style is taking after the pop art style. I think it differs from many other Iron Man vector art images you can see on Google. Many of those images use gradient fills to make the art look metallic. Instead I am using 100% regular fills and just using alot of them. All my colors are coming from the actual movie image too so they are true to form.

Please note that the Iron Man I am drawing is from the movie, not the comic book series. The comic book series lacks much of the same details as the movie suit. I guess I just like a challenge. I started this a few days ago after listening to the original Iron Man song by Black Sabbath. It reminded me of the movie and got me thinking about the armor again. I always liked the suit that Tony Stark wears and thought about drawing it before. So this time I just went ahead and started.

I'm working off the basic promo pose that was created for the first Iron Man movie. This pose is common in comics and shows off the armor's details very nicely. The included image is a work in progress so be kind. I am an amateur artist that just likes to mess with Flash. I welcome tips and pointers with open arms at all times.

Anyway I will update more as I continue. Also I noticed on other art submissions that people seem to use some sort of tablet with Flash. I don't know what tablets are, I just use a mouse and a sketchbook. If someone can fill me in on these pad's details that would be great. It sounds like it is a pro tool of sorts.
